Privacy policy
1. Who we are
RecruiterDesk is a recruitment software product operated by N53 Techworks LLP (PeopleCap), with its registered office at N53 Techworks LLP, 19th Floor, Tower-B, Alphathum, Sector-90, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201305, India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to N53 Techworks LLP. For any privacy question, write to us at privacy@recruiterdesk.io.
2. The data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data. Your name, email address and workspace details when you sign up for a trial or a paid plan.
- Billing data. The details needed to process payment and issue a GST-compliant invoice. Card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
- Candidate and client data you add. The information you enter about candidates, clients and mandates, including CVs and notes. You are the controller of this data; we process it on your behalf (see section 6).
- Usage data. Basic, privacy-friendly analytics about how the site and product are used, so we can keep them fast and reliable.
3. How we use your data
We use personal data only to:
- provide, secure and improve the product and this website;
- set up and manage your account, trial and billing;
- respond to your enquiries and provide support;
- send service messages about your account, and, where you have agreed, occasional product updates you can opt out of at any time; and
- meet our legal and tax obligations in India.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use candidate or client data you add for advertising.
4. Legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving the product, and compliance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
5. Sharing and processors
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the product, such as cloud hosting, email delivery and payment processing. These providers act on our instructions under contract and are permitted to use the data only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Candidate and client data: your role and ours
For the candidate and client records you create in RecruiterDesk, you are the data fiduciary (controller) and we are the data processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold that data and for honouring the rights of the individuals it concerns. We process it only to provide the service to you, and we make it straightforward for you to export or delete it.
7. Data retention
We keep account and billing data for as long as your account is active and for the period we are required to retain records under Indian law. The candidate and client data you add is kept until you delete it or close your account, after which it is removed within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to retain it.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls and regular review of our practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the risk low and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data;
- ask us to erase your data, and to export the data you have added;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it; and
- raise a grievance with us, and with the Data Protection Board of India.

11. International transfers
Where our service providers process data outside India, we take steps to ensure the data is protected to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.
12. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies needed to run it and a light, privacy-friendly analytics tool to understand traffic in aggregate. We do not use intrusive tracking or cross-site advertising cookies. See the note on our data protection page.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
